What is SimplyGo and Why Use It
SimplyGo is Singapore’s account-based ticketing system for public buses and trains. You tap a contactless bank card, a SimplyGo EZ-Link card or a SimplyGo Concession card at the gantry or card reader, and your fares are charged to that card. The SimplyGo app shows your trips and fare charges for each card you’ve added.
If you already tap your bank card on the MRT, a SimplyGo account shows what you paid for each trip, and the referral scheme pays you S$5 to set one up. There’s no minimum spend or top-up β just your normal fares.
SimplyGo Referral Code: RS1D2E47E450 β What You Get
| New user (you) | Referrer | |
|---|---|---|
| Reward per successful referral | S$5 FairPrice eVoucher | S$5 FairPrice eVoucher |
| Cap | One-time sign-up reward | Up to 3 referrals (S$15) |
| How it’s delivered | SimplyGo app inbox | SimplyGo app inbox |
Once you qualify, you also get your own referral code. If three friends sign up with it and complete their 30 trips, you earn another S$15. In total, a new user can collect up to S$20 in FairPrice eVouchers.
Note that the reward is a FairPrice eVoucher, not cash or fare credit, so it can’t pay for MRT rides.
How to Use the SimplyGo Referral Code (Step-by-Step)
- Download the SimplyGo app from the App Store or Google Play. The code only works in the app, not on the SimplyGo web portal.
- Sign up for a new account and enter RS1D2E47E450 in the referral code field on the sign-up page. You can’t add it after your account is created.
- Add an eligible card: a contactless bank card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or NETS), a card in your mobile wallet, a SimplyGo EZ-Link card or a SimplyGo Concession card.
- Make 30 public transport trips within 30 days using that card. The count starts from the day you add the card.
- Collect your S$5 eVoucher in the app inbox within 10 working days of your 30th trip. You can also find it under Rewards β SimplyGo Referral Scheme banner β Reward icon.
How fast can you hit 30 trips?
SimplyGo counts each ride on a single mode of transport as one trip. Taking a bus to the MRT station and then the train to work counts as two trips, not one.
- Bus + MRT both ways each workday: 4 trips a day, so about 8 working days
- MRT only, to work and back: 2 trips a day, so about 15 working days
- Occasional rider (weekends only): probably not enough within 30 days
Weekday commuters should qualify well within 30 days. If you mostly drive or use ride-hailing, you may not.
Eligibility & Terms You Should Know
- New SimplyGo accounts only. If you already have a SimplyGo account, you can’t use a referral code. You can still share your own code instead (see below).
- App sign-up only. Accounts created on the SimplyGo portal, or created without a code, don’t get the S$5.
- Some bank cards aren’t accepted. Some debit, credit and prepaid cards can’t be used for fares. Check SimplyGo’s contactless bank card FAQ before you link a card.
- Trips must use the card you added. Rides paid with a different card, or with a non-SimplyGo stored-value card, don’t count.
- Each code has three uses. Once three new users have signed up with a code, it stops working. If RS1D2E47E450 is rejected, PM us and we’ll give you a new one.
- The programme can end at any time. LTA and SimplyGo can suspend or change the scheme without notice. No end date has been published as of October 2026.
- Voucher redemption follows FairPrice’s rules. Check the validity date shown on your eVoucher and FairPrice’s eVoucher FAQ before you use it.
Is the SimplyGo Referral Bonus Worth It?
For a daily commuter, yes. It takes about five minutes to set up and gets you a S$5 FairPrice voucher for travel you’d do anyway. There’s no deposit, no annual fee and no lock-in.
It’s less worthwhile if you rarely take public transport, since 30 trips in 30 days is a real requirement. It’s also not worth it if you already have a SimplyGo account, because you won’t qualify as a new user.
Our take: S$5 isn’t a big reward compared with bank or brokerage referrals. But it’s one of the few referral rewards where the qualifying action costs you nothing extra.
How to Share Your Own SimplyGo Referral Code
After you sign up and add an eligible card, SimplyGo gives you your own code.
- Open the SimplyGo app and tap the Rewards tab.
- Tap the SimplyGo Referral Scheme banner to see your code.
- Copy it and send it to friends or family who don’t have a SimplyGo account yet.
You earn S$5 for each friend who completes 30 trips, up to three friends (S$15). With only three uses, give it to people who commute daily.
