What Is the Trust Freedom Card and Why Use It
Trust is a Singapore digital bank backed by Standard Chartered and FairPrice Group. In August 2026, Trust rebranded its Cashback Card as the Trust Freedom Card. The main feature is choice. You pick one of four reward modes and can switch every membership quarter at no cost:

Stockback was the launch headline. Your Stockback accumulates, and every time it reaches S$10, Trust automatically buys fractional shares of the US stock or ETF you picked from a list of about 50. There is no commission. Stockback is capped at S$500 per quarter.
Note that the 3% Stockback rate ends on 31 December 2026. If you sign up now, you only get about one to two months at 3% before it drops to 2% local and 0.5% overseas.
Miles mode earns 1.3 Trust Miles per S$1 with no cap, awarded for every S$5 spent. You can convert them 1:1 to KrisFlyer miles or HeyMax Max Miles.

Treat the 8,000 top prize as a lottery-style bonus. Most people will land on one of the lower tiers, so plan around the 18 floor.
Stock gift or cashback gift?
The tiers are identical, but the stock gift is in US dollars. So the stock floor of US$18 is worth more than the S$18 cash floor. The catch is that the stock is chosen at random and its value can go up or down.
The cashback gift is simpler. It lands straight on your card and offsets your first bill.
Pick based on the mode you actually want to use. Your gift type follows your initial reward mode, and you can only switch modes at the start of each membership quarter.
What if I want Miles mode?
Trust’s sign-up gift page only lists Stockback and Cashback. If you pick Miles at sign-up, check that the Quest appears in your app before you submit.
If you mainly want miles, a safe route is to start on Cashback or Stockback to secure the gift. Then switch to Miles at the start of your next membership quarter.
How to Use the Trust Freedom Card Referral Code (Step-by-Step)
- Download the Trust Bank SG app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Tap “Use referral code” at the start of your application and enter 30D03D32. You must enter the code during sign-up. You cannot add it later.
- Verify with Singpass MyInfo. This fills in your NRIC, address and income details.
- Select the Trust Freedom Card and choose Stockback (for the stock gift) or Cashback (for the cash gift) as your initial reward mode.
- Get approved by 31 January 2027.
- Check Rewards → Quests within 24 hours of approval and scratch your golden scratch card.

Eligibility & Terms You Should Know
- New to Trust credit cards only. If you have ever held a principal Trust credit card, including the old Trust Cashback Card or one that is now cancelled, you do not qualify. Unlike some banks, Trust has no 12-month reset.
- A savings account signup alone doesn’t count. Signing up only for the savings account does not trigger the credit card gift.
- One gift per customer. Applying for the Freedom and Link cards together still gets you only one golden scratch card.
- Excluded spend earns no rewards. This includes insurance premiums, utilities, government services, education, charitable donations, and top-ups to GrabPay, YouTrip and similar e-wallets. Watch out for “catch-all” merchant codes MCC 7299, 7399 and 8999, which can show up at ordinary shops and restaurants.
- Membership quarter quirk. Your reward quarter starts from your approval month, not the calendar quarter. If you want your quarters to line up with the calendar, get approved in January.
- Stockback is an investment. The stock gift and any Stockback shares can go down as well as up.
Is the Trust Freedom Card Referral Bonus Worth It?
For most people, yes, because the card costs nothing to hold. There is no annual fee, no FX fee, and at least S$18 or US$18 comes in with no minimum spend.
Where the card earns its keep is filling gaps other cards leave:
- Overseas spend. A Singapore finance creator who tested the card in Bangkok reported that Trust’s THB conversion rate was almost the same as Google’s reference rate for that day. From 2027, Stockback on overseas spend drops to 0.5%. After that, Miles mode at 1.3 mpd with no FX fee becomes the better pick for travel.
- Big-ticket purchases. The same creator put a S$4,811 mattress on the card and earned about S$144 in Stockback at 3%. At the 2027 rate of 2%, that purchase would earn about S$96. That is still uncapped, unlike most miles cards, which cap bonus earn at around S$1,000 to S$1,200 a month.
- Small transactions that fall under other cards’ S$5 minimums, such as hawker, kopi and MRT top-up amounts, if you use Stockback or Cashback mode. Miles mode only awards miles per S$5 block.
Skip it if you carry a credit card balance, since interest will wipe out any reward. Also skip it if you have held a Trust credit card before, because you won’t qualify.
How to Share Your Own Trust Freedom Card Referral Code
Once you are a cardholder, go to Profile → Invite and earn in the Trust app to get your code. For each friend who signs up for any Trust credit card, you get a golden scratch card worth S$50 to S$8,000. For each friend who opens a savings account, you and your friend each get a scratch card worth S$8 to S$1,888. There is no limit on the number of referrals.
